The YK Pao School Global Education Forum (GEF) is an annual event organised by Pao School’s Professional Learning Centre (PLC). The PLC was founded in September 2017 to establish YK Pao School as a Centre for Excellence in professional development for educators in China and across the region. In line with the school’s goals of continual development, the PLC aims to improve the quality of teaching in all classrooms by providing teachers with ongoing performance reviews, skill development opportunities, and access to participate in internal and external professional growth offerings such as GEF.
In 2024, the Global Education Forum took place on October 25, with the theme of "Global Citizen, Chinese Heart - Innovate and Grow Together" .
“This year’s Global Education Forum was a great success, with a wide and diverse range of areas being presented: from inclusive practices in ELA teaching to the use of assessment in an AI world, and all manner of topics in between. What is most impressive is that the sessions this year were delivered by YKPS colleagues from across all three campuses. This gives a strong indication of the level of professional enquiry and innovation that exists within our staff body and the impact this is having on the educational experience of our students.”
