Private School Young Teachers Programme kicked off in 2023
In 2023, the High School Math Department participated in the ‘Excellence in Young Teachers of Private Schools Programme.’ As part of this initiative, they conducted research on the topic of ‘Developing an Outstanding Young Teaching Team through the Cultivation of Students' Mathematical Modeling and Inquiry Skills.’ Over the past two years the High School Math Department has successfully navigated challenges ranging from tight schedules to heavy workloads. Through this project, the department has enhanced the team's collaboration and adaptability, fostering an innovative mindset.
On January 14, the Pao High School campus welcomed representatives from around Shanghai to discuss the Excellence in Young Teachers of Private Schools Programme. Attendees included members of Songjiang District Education Bureau, Shanghai mathematics teaching, research experts, and Pao School leaders and teachers.

The event was hosted by math teacher Li Yingkai. Deputy Principal Na Zang delivered the opening speech. “Our commitment to delivering high-quality education that addresses the diverse needs of society is the core pursuit of Pao School's ongoing quest for excellence,” she said. “Since our founding, we have focused on building a strong team of young Chinese teachers. After years of dedication and development, our exceptional Chinese and foreign educators have grown to meet the demands of the school's growth.”

Mr. Yifan Shen from the high school mathematics team delivered an engaging demo class on the text evaluation system for mathematical modeling, illustrating how the research project’s results are implemented in the classroom.
