Pao School appoints David Mansfield as Executive Headmaster

Pao School’s Board of Governors is pleased to announce the appointment of David Mansfield as our new Executive Headmaster. Having served as the head of three schools, David brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership. At Dulwich College inBeijing (his previous post), David led a school of 1500 students from Pre-K to Year 12 across two campuses, achieving exceptional IB results and sending students to leading universities around the world.

David impressed the Board with his strategic vision, willingness to innovate and his understanding of the interconnectivity among all parts of a school, from classroom learning to professional development to facilities and marketing.

On 1st August 2017, David will join Pao School in the new role. Prior to that, he will familiarize himself with the school and lead the development of our new Strategic Plan. This will include identifying priorities for Pao School over the next five years in teaching, learning, professional development, facilities master planning and internal systems. In the coming months, David looks forward to meeting with our staff, students, parents and community.

  • Former Director of Cambridge Assessments, which owns Cambridge International Examinations
  • Holds a BA in Modern History from Cambridge University and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in History (PGCE) from Oxford University
