In March, Junior Secondary students performed an original play called ‘The Bald Truth.’ Students and teachers created this story together to explore the subject of cheating and dishonesty.
‘The Bald Truth’ follows the life of a man named Frank Cheng with dark secrets in his past. Frank pressures his son to ‘do whatever it takes’ to get top grades at school. At the same time, Frank is competing for a promotion at work. As Frank's son struggles with academic pressure, he considers cheating.
While he eventually makes the honest choice, Frank's rival at work reveals his past dishonesty and Frank has to face the consequences in the end. Students had great fun performing this comedy, and showed great creativity in improvising and developing the piece.
