The Summer Residential Camp passed in the blink of an eye. During the two-week period, campers happily learned English in a boarding environment, strengthening their ability in the language as well as becoming more independent.
For Friday’s performance, which closed out the camp session, campers rehearsed tirelessly. The result was a spectacular performance that brought the audience to their feet.
The camp also included a weekend outing: treasure hunting activities in the Chenshan Botanical Garden and Thames Town. While enjoying the sightseeing, campers also had a chance to learn new vocabulary that they hadn’t previously studied in the classroom.
The teachers and junior counsellors both worked hard to ensure the campers got the most out of their experience. Junior counsellors helped plan activities, console homesick campers, and transport injured campers to the infirmary. It was impressive to see 15-year-olds and 16-year-olds take on so much responsibility and produce such good results.

The happiest times always pass by quickly. Campers are certain to remember their joyous experience at summer camp, while their improved English and greater independence will serve them well in their future endeavours.
