The core objective of YK Pao School’s Activities Camp is to give its students a better educational programme. As the concept of education continues to change with the times, this is also a subject that Pao School continues to explore, examine and re-examine as it combines its own unique views with its rich experience in education. The school’s Activities Camp is precisely the result of this journey to provide its students with a quality educational programme.
Outstanding academic results are not the only indicator of an outstanding education. Teachers at Pao School’s Activities Camp use practical, hands-on approaches to prove that ‘whole person education’ is an indispensable part of any educational programme. In English class, students not only acquire language skills, but also extend and apply their studies to the humanities. The camp’s sports component gives campers a chance to get physical exercise as well as use their skills and work together to complete the activities. During science class, campers even used ice cream to construct various types of buildings and facilities. At Pao School, learning is not one-way – it is a wholly interactive experience and process that creates the foundation for each student’s development of self-identity and self-concept.
Activities Camp has gone by in a flash, but these two weeks have given students limitless inspiration, as well as a passion for learning and exploration that they will undoubtedly draw upon in their futures.
