The 2016 Changning Adventure took place on 29 October in Changning District’s Science and Technology Training Center. The theme of the event was ‘Flying Dream’. The competition had three tasks related to energy conservation. Seven Pao students from Year 3 and Year 5 participated.
Under the leadership of Wang Yan, the performance of the Pao students was outstanding, as they earned a silver medal for the ‘Harvesting energy” task, and a bronze medal for ‘Setting up a Shelter’. They also earned a bronze medal for teamwork and Bole Wisdom Award.
This activity gave Pao students a chance to shine outside of the classroom. The students demonstrated strong innovation and teamwork capabilities during this competition, illustrating the value of our school’s whole-person approach to education.
The old Boy Scout motto ‘Be prepared’ still holds true today. Pao School’s success in the Changning Adventure came down to extensive preparation: from students, school staff working as volunteers, and parents. Without their hard work, we would never have achieved such an excellent result.
Headmaster Wu, who attended the competition and encouraged participants, would like to express his gratitude to all the Pao staff and parents who supported our efforts in the competition. During this process, we witnessed the remarkable team spirit of Pao School.
