On May 27, YK Pao School Secondary Division held its annual spring music concert. This year's theme was "Sound of Spring Celebration" and the concert featured performances from the school orchestra, directed by Mr Palmer and Ms Chen and the school choirs, conducted by Ms Henderson.
The orchestra impressed the audience with a brilliant performance of Mozart's famous Symphony No 33, commonly known as "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik." The choir performances featured a variety of musical numbers in different styles, such as classical, pop, jazz and music from other parts of the world, including two songs in Spanish.
The concert was also attended by a special guest conductor, Ms Yang, Head of the famous Little Star youth choir in Shanghai. She led the middle school choir in a popular Chinese Song, Chrysanthemum Bed.
All of the hard work in rehearsals over the past few months really showed as the students played and sang beautifully. Well done to all performers!
