This week, Pao School hosted two special visitors: Ms Helena Sobulis from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and Ms Barbara Parker from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), who arrived to evaluate the school’s readiness to undertake the full accreditation process by their respective organisations.
Ms Sobulis and Ms Parker visited Pao School's Primary and Secondary Division campuses, meeting with representative groups of stakeholders, including the Board of Governors, teaching staff, students and parents. Ms Sobulis and Ms Parker were astonished by all of the remarkable achievements the school has made in just nine years, and they were equally impressed with the students: ‘Pao School’s students are sincere, optimistic and self-reflecting!’
CIS and WASC are globally-recognised membership organisations that provide services to international schools. by their respective organisations. Pao School is already members of CIS, and is affiliated with WASC, and is now seeking to use their internationally-recognised standards and indicators as a catalyst for school improvement in our mission to become a world-class school for tomorrow’s China.
