YK Pao School successfully welcomed approximately 90 campers aged 10-15 to its very first Residential Enrichment English Camp!
At orientation day, everyone read aloud the camp’s mission: “to not only help students in their study of English, but through the boarding program, help them to learn the importance of showing respect for others, managing oneself, working as a team, and what it means to be a leader, as well as provide an immersive language learning experience in a safe learning environment.”
We hope that after two weeks of language classes, students will improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. After an assessment, our teachers placed students in different classes according to their English ability. Students will be exposed to immersive English teaching methods which include reading, composition and performances, giving them the opportunity to experience a purely English-speaking environment, strengthening their confidence in listening comprehension as well as their speaking, reading and writing skills.
Through various extracurricular activities, as well as interaction with international teachers and collaboration in sports activities, students will be able to fully experience the richness of Pao School’s boarding program.
