On November 21st, award-winning author and graphic novel artist Scott McCloud visited Pao School. Scott has toured around the world inspiring both students and adults at every stop. Signed copies his best-known books, Understanding Comics and Reinventing Comics, are now available in our library, and they are sure to inspire students and get their creativity flowing!
Scott McCloud dazzled students with an exciting presentation full of graphics, video clips, and insightful words. Scott also visited classes to entertain students with more intimate discussions about graphics, the process of creating comics, and motivational inquisition, all with a flair of humor. Students were able to show him the artwork they’ve created, as well as ask him questions one-on-one.
We hope this event has inspired everyone to enjoy more of our school’s graphic novel collection, and to strive to live life doing what they truly love to do.
