On December 4, a Pao-family-funded synthetic surface sports track officially opened at Minhang’s Jiao Tong University. This new landmark comes after the Pao Sui-Loong Library at Jiao Tong University’s Xuhui campus, built in 1985, and the Pao Yue-Kong Library built in 1992, also at the Minhang campus, all made possible by the generosity of the Pao family.
Named the‘Yue-Kong Pao Tracks, this sports track is situated at the centre of Jiao Tong University’s Minhang campus. Two phases of construction have been completed since 2014, resulting in a current total length of 2.6 kilometres. A third phase is currently in progress.
The tracks cross the two sides of the campus' river, allowing teachers and students to exercise and enjoy a panoramic view of the university grounds.
