KWHS is a member of Knowledge@Wharton at the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, and provides high school students and educators around the world with a deeper understanding of business and personal finance and to equip them with the skills to excel in the global marketplace.
Since 2012, KWHS has successfully conducted four investment competitions with over 2000 high school students from 127 schools around the world participating. This year, KWHS Investment Competition will invite Chinese students for the first time. Distinguished Chinese teams will have an opportunity to compete at the global finale on April 29, 2016 at the Wharton School in Philadelphia.
KWHS Investment Competition
• Language: English
• Team: 4-9 secondary school students per team
• OTIS: Teams start with a virtual fund of $100,000 to trade for 10 weeks using the Wharton trading platform known as OTIS
• How to win: Winners are selected on the strength and articulation of their overall investment strategies, not on the percentage growth of their portfolios
• Cost: FREE
