Liberal Arts College Fair attendees with the Pao School University Counselling team
On September 11, YK Pao School’s Secondary Division hosted a college fair for our Year 10 and 11 students. The third in a series of college fairs hosted by Pao School, the day began with presentations given by admissions officers from eight US liberal arts colleges – Bard College (New York), Bennington College (Vermont), Colorado College, Furman College (South Carolina), Lafayette College (Pennsylvania), Pitzer College (California), Scripps College (California) and Roanoke College (Virginia), followed by a college fair in the Learning Commons. Emphasising undergraduate study, liberal arts institutions focus on providing exposure to knowledge in a variety of fields that include literature, art, philosophy, mathematics and psychology, which encourages the development of general intellectual capacities and a broad set of skills. Such informative events demonstrate the commitment of Pao School’s University and Careers Counselling Office to helping students learn about the vast range of post-secondary options and determine the school best suited to their interests and educational goals.
YK Pao School will be hosting a joint college presentation at their Primary Division campus on September 22. Five distinctive post-secondary institutions will be present, including Stanford University, Dartmouth University and John Hopkins University. The event is free and open to the public.
