YK Pao School, founded in 2007, is a non-profit private institution that follows an innovative Chinese-English immersion bilingual programme. Located in Shanghai, the school is rooted in Chinese culture, aiming to prepare students in becoming engaged and responsible global citizens of the 21st century. At Pao School, staff are part of a diverse bilingual and multicultural faculty that believes in whole-person education, at the heart of which is academic excellence and high-quality teaching. Beyond academics, the school’s mission is to cultivate students with strong values, such as compassion, integrity, and balance.
Over the past four years, the school has been ranked first in the Top International School in China by the Hurun Report three times. This growth is also visible through student attainment, with students achieving IGCSE and IB results that reflect the robust academic standards of the school. In 2021, 58% of IB students achieved 40 points and above, with an overall average point score of 40. Importantly the school is committed to supporting every student in finding a place at the “best-fit” university for their interests and abilities – with students finding great success with admissions to diverse and well-renowned institutions.
